Pamela Gordon, founder of Technology Forecasters, is author of Lean and Green: Profit for Your Workplace and the Environment. Her book debunks the myth that businesses must choose between profit and the environment, and shows how anyone, at any level of an organization, can help increase revenues by reducing harmful environmental impact. The text also features more than 100 compelling, real-life examples from 20 prominent and varied organizations, including Intel, Louisiana-Pacific, Horizon Organic Diary, and Apple Computer. Each chapter contains summaries with easy “you-can-do-it” actions steps that will yield immediate results. At the NCCA meeting, Gordon will speak on how business leaders can make their organizations more green and sustainable.
Jerry Yudelson is a trainer, and author of two often-cited books on green strategies. Yudelson is the founder and director of the Green Building Services consulting unit of Portland General Electric and has held leadership roles with the U.S. Green Building Council and the Greenbuild conference. Yudelson has written more green building books than anyone. Each book presents case studies, anecdotes and concrete facts that offer inspiration and encouragement for any green building initiatives. His first two books virtually invented the field of green building marketing, and the next three continue to expand the reach of the green building message. Yudelson’s keynote address will be a valuable resource for those who want to know more about the full range of issues tackled by the green building movement.
Other annual meeting presentations include: Panel Discussion on Chrome and Chrome-Free Paint Systems, Behavior-Based Safety Programs, Cool Roofing Panels, Voice of the Customer, and other meaningful and productive sessions.
